Moving past the first lane

On listening to the foundation this morning I began
wondering what was the criteria for this "first lane" and
what was needed to move past it?

As the talk progressed it was basically outlined.

The first lane: relaxation

is defined by
- emotional stability
- an ability to hold some level of sustained non-thought

The first is pretty good for myself, the second needs more work.

I have found working with looking at Auras is a good way to
hold non-thought. I cannot think at the same time as focus
on looking around at Auras.

So that is the work to be done now...

Continue looking at Auras.
Try to work with non-thought whenever not looking at Auras
and focus hard on it during meditation.
